Calcium Remobilization in ¢¥Golden Delicious¢¥ Apples and the Seedlings of During Spring Season

Abstract
Calcium mobilization from old stem tissues to current shoot and root of apples (Malus domestica Borkh.) during spring season was studied. Calcium contents of 2-year-old vegetative stems and 3-year-old reproductive stems of ¢¥Golden Delicious¢¥/M9 apples was 2 times higher in stem bark tissues than wood tissues before bud burst. After bud burst in spring, total calcium contents in stem wood tissues of vegetative and reproductive stems deereased to 32.3-34.4% and in bark tissues to 9.2-19.9%, compared to before bud burst. In calcium analysis by various solvent fractions the calcium contents in 2-and 3year-old apple stem bark as well as wood tissues decreased sharply in water soluble fraction, and followed by acid solvents, and mild salts soluble fractions during growing of shoot and root in spring season. According to NAA infiltrating into apple seedlings before replanting, 25 §·¡¤L^(-1) NAA stimulated the shoot and root growth of seedlings, increased calcium mobilization from old stub and root tissues to current shoot and root.
